Orlando Ortiz loons.com Orlando Ortiz pitched four strong innings in relief to help the Great Lakes Loons rally for a 4-2 victory over the West Michigan Whitecaps Wednesday night at Dow Diamond. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Loons (22-13), who moved one game ahead of the Whitecaps (21-14) for first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division. Ortiz improved to 2-0 after allowing one run on five hits and no walks in pitching the final four innings. Starter Maddux Bruns also threw four innings and gave up one run on one hit and five walks.
